About SkiMoMap
SkiMoMap is an interactive mapping platform for backcountry skiing, ski touring, and ski mountaineering. It combines avalanche safety overlays, national topographic maps, 3D terrain visualization, and route planning into a single tool built for mountain adventures.
The project started after FatMap shut down in October 2024, leaving many backcountry enthusiasts without a comprehensive mapping tool. SkiMoMap was built to fill that gap and continues to evolve based on community feedback.
